Consumer Reports 2008 Bottom Line of Auto Companies (Part 1)

This video was put together for a friend with whom I agreed to give an annual report from Consumer Reports every December on Auto Companies. CR isn't 100% accurate, but they give you the general idea. Like the Chevy truck in the background. That truck has been MUCH MORE RELIABLE than CR said it would.

Based on the December 2008 Consumer Reports magazine, here are the results for 2008. Also, here is the status of the big 3 domestic auto companies:

GM sales: -41% GM trucks: -39% GM cars: -44% Request from the $700 billion bailout: $18 billion

Chrysler sales: -47%
Request from the $700 billion bailout: $11 billion

Ford sales: -30%
Request from the $700 billion bailout: $9 billion
However, Ford's sales have increased over the past two months, mainly because of increasing sales of the F series trucks.

I like all three. BUT im a Ford fan for life. I like Dodge but the interiors are shitty and most engines they have blow but they have good sound systems and most are great on the hwy. Chevy has many interior and electrial problems but i like the sounds and power of the engines.

Another Great Video, However, i must say that these magazines and auto company reviews are soo biased and un true, i just cant stand to read them, \ C.R is one of the best though. i am a chevy fan because we have had great luck with them and not so much with ford, in our eyes chevy was always superior in serviceability, reliability and durability. ford has lots of motors that sucked and lots that were amazing, just as chevy, i would really like to know what sets your Personal preferance to ford?

Daniel, Giving unbiased opinions is crucial. You can still have sentimental favorites, but put them a side for the sake of the production. Sports commentators are a perfect example. They obviously are huge sports fans themselves, but show no favoritism towards a team in commentating. Speak slow and concise, as this shows confidence in what you are saying. Speak as if you want everyone to get exactly what you are saying without ever having to repeat yourself. God Speed.

Despite selling the most vehicles the past 40 years they owe 100's of billion of dollars

you have to go with your experience I drove them all

Best midsized pick up Nissan and Toyota

best work HD truck Detroit Ford Chrysler and GM in that order.

Very very nice and true video and me too i'm a big Ford fan but I have ALWAYS respected other people who like other car companies and i'm a Chevy fan and Dodge fan my self too but not as much as Ford but i still like the others very much

Very nice video Daniel consumer reports is basically my bible for looking up cars it is a really helpful tool espically when I bought my fusion oh and msn autos really helps too. Great work!
