Brit here! - I flew Piedmont in 1988 from Baltimore to Richmond. I think TWA used to code share with them. I flew on an F28, sadly I don't remember much more because I was about 10 at the time! but I have to say this ad is excellent, health and safety wouldn't allow it now, but what great footage.. look out behind!

I sure do miss seeing those planes. My father flew for Piedmont Airlines for 36 years. Retired 1 year before Mr. Davis sold the airline to US Air. Many childhood memories aboard those planes. Thanks for the video. Brought back some good memories.

@Cougarjt You're damn right they were...ask any business traveler from back in the 80's...they will tell you...at that time they were the best in the USA. And way darn better than anything flying today.

This is an airline that is terribly missed by all. I think it is a wonderful airline which really cared much about its customers. Well I have downloaded one of their 737-200's and will be flying on VATSIM in their honor. Hope someday that this will become a virtual airline online too.

piedmont is still around. they fly flights disguised as us airways express dash 8 airplanes. you can hear them as piedmont 4100 through flight numbers4649

it's not the same piedmont airlines. the one still flying is the old hensen/henson airlines which was a commuter airline owned by the old piedmont out of salsibury,md. usair renamed it piedmont.
