OSAAT Naatya-Raaga 2008 Dance Competition
Senior Classical category
Team # 1 Abhinaya "Mage Shorone" depicts Goddesses in various forms. "O Mother, I seek refuge at your feet. As Bhavani, you bless the Earth. You are Maheshwari- Goddess of Creation; Lakshmi- Goddess of Prosperity; Saraswati - giver of Knowledge; Kali, the Destroyer. O Mother, Durge- you are beautiful, charming and have a sweet smile. Sometimes with those angry blood-red eyes you are frightening. You are Mahisha Mardini- killer of the demon Mahisha. As Goddess Kali, you destroyed the demons Chanda and Munda. Fire burns forth from your third eye, and you hold the bowl filled with blood. Wearing the garland of demon heads you destroy evil. O Mother, Durge.-I take refuge at your feet.
