Despite international agreements, the countries don't care. I noticed that Voice of Russia has a regular evening broadcast on 7.290; the ham 40m voice segment. Like your Kenwood. Best rigs I've ever owned... they get decades old and still work just fine. I still have my TS-520 and 820 and don't plan on getting rid of 'em. Yep, they still work just fine.
