where in london is dis?

i know you dont get much but still you should know to slow down if its slippery.

it was one of london's heaviest snowfalls and we don't get much snow. Well it sometimes never snows for years here, so whenever we have any it is a site to behold. In addition, we aren't used to heavy snowfalls so the city of london may get stuck, but it is normally not for long because they grit the pavements and roads. So you guys think twice about what ur saying and figure out that london doesn't get much snow!!!!

What a wimp! OK, up here in Newcastle 6 inches could be classed as a lot, or 3 inches in an hour maybe, but if 1 flake falls in the south it makes the main headline of national news!
Plus once we had over 1.5 feet up here and it barely even got mentioned on the news - 200 cars got stuck.

I'm on the U.S. East Coast in Scarborough ME.
We usually never get more then a foot at a time. 2 feet is the most I've ever actually seen fall in one storm here in the 8 years that I've lived here. It does build up over the winter and April can sometimes feature very heavy wet snow, the kind that brings down power lines and trees.

yeah same in mn but were not very high elavation, its kind of flat here.. But we get blizards that come in from the lake and we get at least 5 feet of snow on the ground at one time in the winter. and the snow stays until april.

Well, 3 and 4 feet at time usually only happens up at the higher elevations but yes it does happen from time to time in lower elevations on in the East. I live in Portland ME where it usually takes up to month to get 3 feet on the ground.
thats not heavy- london doesnt get proper snow- 2 cms and it brings the city to a standstill.... proper snow is in the USA and Canada where they get 3 or 4 ft at a time, and they dont even notice it

so when london does not get proper snow (only 2 cm) according to your message, may be we are correct to call this "heavy" snow by our standards, isnt it ? and since we don't get snow like you guys do, isnt it right to bring our life to a standstill (since we are not used to it) ??? its the same, if you guys got heatwaves like in Sahara Desert, and then you moaned about it.
In addition, I don't have to follow your "standards" to label our snowfall as little, moderate or heavy.
enough said.

i don't get lots of snow here. i'm english.
and americans do get heatwaves, often hotter than the sahara. one of the worlds hottest major cities is in the USA. phoenix, arizona which gets 2 months of 40+ temps.

i have lived some part of my early life in Saudi arabia, and i remember spending the summer (which is like 10 months every year) in 50+ temperatures quite oftenly.
