This was the departure at 7:35AM on the 24th of December flying on BA0762. I had a layover in Heathrow from the night before, and had an amazing time watching the active from my hotel room. The flight was de-iced, and departed the gate on-time. The crew went out of their way in all fields, and at the end of the flight I was allowed to talk to the pilot/co-pilot and take some pictures as seen in the intro of the video. The departure was absolutely breathtaking, the flight took off right as the sun was bleeding the horizon. We proceeded to climb to flight level 410, or 41,000ft. We flew over downtime london, then proceeded directly across the North Ocean toward Norway. ATC in Norway were helpful, and cleared us direct as soon as we entered the SID. Overall, an awesome flight! I'll be sure to fly with BA again in the future.

  • I've always wondered what the noise was that appears at 3:53, anybody got any ideas?

  • @jagjourdan It's nicknamed the Barking Dog, it's a power transfer cycle :)

  • fantastic video!

  • @jagjourdan it's a PTU sounds... PTU (Power Transfert Unit) is a device that transfers hydraulic power from one of an aircraft's hydraulic systems to another in the event that second system has failed or been turned off. :)
