@bombagna and Pirlo won the world cup all on his own? Scholes has had the misfortune to play in an average generation of players, with the exception of a few. He has been described as the best player of his generation, and last year when Barcelona beat United in the CL, Xavi (a respected voice) said Scholes was the only person who would have got into the Barca team out of all the United players. Thats a team with Rooney, Van der Saar, Vidic and Giggs
