It doesn't seem like it; CF's recovery seemed fairly long at the beginning of the match.

Well, unless, you depend on momentum at the end of your recovery to get back, but that's just about it. It may mess up Tethers because you drop faster (resulting that the Tether may not be long enough), but I guess you could just change timing.
