@desirablehyna Hey I didn't mean to offend! Maybe in your area they use black widows, which is cool.
In my area I've seen mud daubers dragging around wolf spiders.

yea those spiders are food for the wasp larvae. I just "rescued" a wolf spider from a mud dauber. hopefully it'll make a full recovery!

i no a guy in my town and he leaves out thin multi-colored paper and the wasps who make a nest in his back yard every year, take the paper and build a nest. once the nest is finished the wasps have a multi-colored nest!

The spider is paralyzed for the wasp larva. usually with mud wasps they use black widow spiders... so that when the larva hatches it can feed on the widder!

I found the same thing in our barbeque in NJ. it had spiders inside also. i was curious to find out why that was and found a lot of info online. including this video. interesting stuff. thanks for posting
