@PIKACHU49386 no but the way windows is made is that almost any program made for any os can run.in home edition it will still run.

@justinclone at least 384mb ram to run.lol im lucky my old pc has the exact amount of ram.384mb ram. but it takes very long to get to the logon screen cos its only got 730MHz pentium 3.just use 512mb for optimal performance.

@tnew100 no it cant. thats why there are virtual machines to keep u safe from viirusses just incase u want to see if an app has a virus

u got 2gb ram, but only 2.4GHz. i have a opc designed to run xp. it has 1gb ram and 3.20GHz. i put windows 7 on here and im running it now cos of my specs

Ubuntu is really awesome... I wouldn't be surprised if Ubuntu takes over Windows and Mac OSX in the near future.

it works fine on vista home premium i knew that already...but what settings were used for the networking...i can't seem to get on the internet

Have you tried compiz fusion, or does the graphics card driver in Ubuntu in VPC not work right? Anyways, I think I'd rather just partition my HDD or use Wubi to install Ubuntu.

No compiz fusion dosent work in vpc....wubi is also one way and partitioning your hard drive and then installing Ubuntu is also a good way.
Ive done both.
