For more clips like this, and a most enjoyable guide to pop culture, visit the blog for the NYC cult cable-access show Media Funhouse, located here:
www.mediafunhouse.blogspot.com

This clip comes from the short film "San Francisco," made in 1968 by Anthony Stern (the assistant director on "Tonite Let's All Make Love in London," 1967). The soundtrack is composed of an alternate take of "Interstellar Overdrive" from the band's first album, "Piper at the Gates of Dawn." I'm pretty sure viewing this on a computer could induce either a mind-roasting trip or pure insanity. The images are pure history, but the film is primarily a sensual assault.

  • Is there any Roio/Bootleg with this song/show?

  • @eyesorbe,,thank you.

  • Audio is Pink Floyd. Video is not. Nice n' trippy though!

  • Whenever i seen shit like this on the television as a little kid, it scared the fuck out of me! But i did like night gallory ''paintings" not the psychedelic mess as long as didnt interfere with Bert and Ernie..Of course in those days it did not..Now i prefer the psychedelic mush and the creepy mud men from that one misguided movie of nincompoops floyd did music to inda..Inda was a nice choice 40 years ago..But it makes me wonder if those misled hippies that went there look younger living

  • @eyesorbe

    You're telling me.

  • @1ndi64

    Ah ha ha. Nailed it.

  • Audio is them, it's for a soundtrack they did before Piper.

  • Actually the riff is borrowed from Arthur Lee and Love.
