I would pay good green money for a verison with JLG's pseudo-revolutionary shit edited out. The natural evolution of the song in the studio is far more interesting, powerful, and natural than his shoehorned militant black power garbage. Meh, maybe it was the style at the time. How many of you arrived here b/c you searched Godard? *bows*

This is a very good movie, a challenging and difficult one but a worthwhile experience. I feel that the scenes of revolutionary violence are meant to be taken as ideologically similar to the music of the Stones, but without the transforming power of art. The juxtaposition is fascinating and rewarding. But that's just my interpretation. The experience is sufficiently freewheeling that there could be a whole host of others, just as valid. Try this movie!
