@mrderekevan - From what I've heard, NYC-EMS was horribly incompetent as a separate entity and the best thing they ever did was merge with the Fire Department.

@superheat01 DFW eh? wtf do you know about snow? Tarp your vehicle? then you just get a massive pile on the sidewalk, pissing off pedestrians. Next on my list of sh*t you have no clue about is the Chains. EMS is too f*cking busy in NYC to deal with putting chains on their bus. $20 eh? Then when your fat ass has a heart attack, and the medics show up, they're gonna charge you $200 to even get off the rig. EMS doesn't have to do what they do. Give them a break. Prick.

ALSO BLAME THE AMBULANCE GUYS THEY HAD NO CHAINS ON, THEY HAD THEM ON THE FIRETRUCK OH AND IF I HAD A 4X4 TRUCK I WOULD JUST HAVE CHARGED THE GUYS 20 BUCKS TO PULL THEM OUT.

YOU GUYS SHOULD PUT BIG TARPS OVER YOUR CAR COVERING A BIG SPOT THEN WHEN YOU TAKE THE TARPS DOWN THERE IS NO SNOW COVERING YOUR CARS OR ON THE GROUND BELOW, I DONT KNOW HOW YOU PPL LIVE IN THAT AWFUL CITY AND PAY 1500 DOLLARS FOR A CRACKERBOX APT YOU COULD GET A 5 BEDROOM TWO STORY HOUSE FOR THAT RENT WITH A POOL FOR THAT HERE IN DFW.

Nice to see FDNY firefighters helping the FDNY EMS! I don't know if this is definitely true or not, but I've heard that FDNY firefighters and EMS personnel generally don't get along with eachother. I've heard rumors that the firefighters view EMS personnel as "wanna-be firefighters" who undeservingly use the FDNY logo, while the EMS would actually prefer to just be their own separate department as it was in the 80's when FDNY and NYC-EMS were totally separate.
