On www.HomeEducation.sg Mandala-colouring is one of the ways used by Professor Makoto Shichida in developing young children's photographic memory and visualization abilities. Watch this video on how a typical home-practice session is conducted. It takes less than 2 minutes to complete everyday.

  • I have a photographic memory but why this test? It was so easy. Does the pictures eventually get harder?

  • @Darkenedbyshadows: Cool. Not everyone can have this ability. The pictures in Everyday Mandala for Children series of practice books get harder as you move on, and they are essentially meant as practice materials for children, not tests. Also, for children 4 and above, there should be an additional colour of green.

  • This video illustrates the use of Mandalas in Photographic Memory Practice. It is not meant to impress.

  • Ettt nada not impressive!

  • @bucky341 Thanks for your comments. As a matter of fact, this video is meant to illustrate the use of Mandalas in Photographic Memory Practice rather than to impress. We made no efforts in posting a video which the kids made no mistakes, and having the kids to go through the unnatural process of filming. Rather, making mistakes are the part and parcel of everyday practice. It is the continual and regular practice that helps in the development of the brain.

  • I realized that he could have missed out on that thin yellow border due to the resemblance with the white background I mean, he looked so confident and the rest of the colours were right!
