Even though landing a single-engine airplane under IFR conditions can be stressful, at least you can't actually SEE what might be coming up to smack you down from the sky to ruin your day. But slipping a 35-foot trawler into its berth while driving solo at night with a failed alternator, with lots of ghastly expensive fiberglass nearby, can also have its moments.
-The raspy chirping sound in the background is the depth sounder, reminding me there's less than 9 feet of water under the keel.
