Ok I decided to make this because I just wanted to show all the fellow Bass players what I did to make my bass fretless, also to teach on why you shouldn't do what I do. Please understand The way I did it is really the wrong way to do it.

  • You will either be a rich TV personality one day or just a struggling poor joe, working at the local garage. I dont know if you realize it (and since no one else here has said it) but you have alot of character, you should capitalize on that.... somehow, get a job at a local radio station or TV studio, or write up some comedy material and go to some Open Mic nights. BTW, what do you need TABS for? Just play the damn bass, you already love it. Practice some scales. I play everything by ear.

  • same what i did with knife, chesle, hammer and that same squeezing thing what you call it :P Then i used the sandpaper. youre totally right, its very wrong to do this but mostly because of the sandpaper. You see you make the neck go lower and then theyre not at same level as the pickups as it shouldve been or something. Other thing is that it might be bit lower from other end and bit higher or otherways fucked up in the other way so it is kinda bad. i had this but it was fucked up bass already.

  • that is so funny, i have that bas ad its a lefty, i just did that. holy shit

  • i have the shittest of basses that came free with a second hand amplifier.... crafter by cruiser or some shit.... so yeah.... im ripping out the frets ..... and i dont have the correct tools ... hehe.... gives me something to do eh!! ;)

if i fuck it up..... it wont be the end of the world

  • If you need to fill in the holes use wood filler
