My grandfather who went on an expedition to China, and his friends were very gentle and polite people.

But they disliked Chinese people.

It is because the incidents in which Chinese people attack the Japanese citizen who lived in Shanghai etc. occurred before WW2.

These incidents are seldom known in the United States or China now.

I believe my grandfather's sincerity.
