  • whats that tool he had that made the head of the nail?

  • It cals an nailiron, it is a iron plate with a hard peace of steel on it with a hole in ith.

  • Shouldn't you be wearing safety glasses?

  • Not for forging, but for drilling and sharp tools.

  • The atmosphere of the shop captures that old traditional feel of the blacksmithing craft. A blacksmith is his own master and he crafts his Things as he wants... when he wants... and using whatever methods he wants. There is no wrong way to make something, as long as one is making it one's own way. Craftsmanship is individuality, and the highest expression of one's own individual and unique stamp on the world.

Great video, very inspiring to see another craftsman taking pride and joy in his work.

  • That looks like damn satisfying work! :D

  • Headed nails, of all things. Like giant carpet tacks. And so quickly done. I had thought that they began with a hammered flat sheet and then cut off triangular pieces to make what I know of as square cut nails. Very hard. Saw them in many a floor.

  • @smidjepeter Wow I have had fire scale fly back up at me. I would wear glasses all the time.

  • @smokarette 2 years of forging 15 hours a day

  • @boredism07 A million nails?? How long did that take him :)

  • The one nail, One nail to rule them all....

  • Nice video only thing I can see missing is the shouldering of the nail head so as to minimize taper and splitting of wood while in use, besides that good work.

  • You may use a few seconds of this movie if you refer to Vidisti Productions
