All tracks were recorded with the basses direct into my MBox Mini direct into iMovie. All basses were strung up with brand new Warwick Black Label 45-130 strings, and recorded with all preamps in passive mode with pickups blended evenly. The audio amplitude was normalised only - no other effects were added. The riff is an original - no judgement on my sloppy playing please! Haha.

A very special thanks goes out to Jimmy from Guards Of May (sitting in the background for most of the clips) for lending me his 94 Thumb NT and 96 Streamer Stage II, helping to make this video possible.

Basses are:
1. 1999 Warwick Streamer LX 5-string. Maple body, bolt-on wenge neck, wenge fingerboard, MEC active pickups.
2. 1996 Warwick Streamer Stage II 5-string. Afzelia body, neck-through wenge neck, wenge fingerboard, MEC active pickups.
3. 2002 Warwick Streamer Stage II 5-string. Afzelia body, neck-through ovangkol neck, wenge fingerboard, MEC active pickups.
4. 1994 Warwick Thumb NT 5-string. Bubinga body, neck-through wenge neck, wenge fingerboard, Delano passive pickups.
5. 1998 Warwick Thumb NT 5-string. Bubinga body, neck-through wenge neck, wenge fingerboard, MEC active pickups.

I was trying to colour the tone of the woods as little as possible, so passive mode seemed like the obvious choice. I find the MEC preamps colour the tone massively, even when set flat. They really seem to get rid of the tightness of the lows and squash the dynamics of the mids, in my opinion.
