@iCreamiix3 I don't know that they ever get too old for this. Perhaps. My oldest is 5 years and he is very, um, affectionate. He likes my hand. Some of the others prefer toys, etc. My vet says they're just "very happy" birds...

@sherlockstalker You are correct. And, one of my other parakeets, Tori, does to that to my hand.

Hes happy, or hes talking 2 himself, or hes just lonley for cage love. my pass male parakeets did that when they were bored, stressed, or wanted 2 mate with my female :) glad i have 2 females now.. what if they are lesbians? D:

@MikiHeartChu I think, pure and simple, they do it because it feels good. :)
Several of my birds do it. I have males and females. Come to think of it, only the males
do this. But none of my birds seem interested in actually mating (which is fine by me).
I don't think birds can be gay, but you never know. Whatever works. :)

Is he.....O_O How did you do that? I'v been trying to mate my birds and you get one to mate with a cage :O teach me!

@lunerfall Well, I can't quite take credit for it. He figured it out all on his own.
One of my other birds, Tori, is in love with my hand. I have 5 males and 3 females.
Not a single one has attempted to mate with the other. A few of the boys are sweet
on the girls, but they're not having any of it! :)
