Most websites are built to accommodate the "masses". It's time to take things back into our own hands and customize the web for ourselves!
Learn to use Greasemonkey, the amazing plugin for Firefox, to accomplish this.
Examples like eBay, Gmail, Google, and more inside.

  • what OS are you using?

  • I was using windows xp (SP2). I think I was using the bb4win desktop environment.

    Now I'm on a Mac (leopard)

  • There should be an application of some sort that allows you to make greasemonkey scripts no tech knowledge required...

    would be cool huh?

    an idea for a script would be a youtube search from any webpage

  • There used to be one for that very purpose called platypus. I think it was discontinued though... not sure.

  • if you just want to block some ads, use AdBlockPlus (FF) or AdThwart (Chrome).

    With those you get a filter just can adjust by rigth clicking the ad

  • grease monkey is a good addon on but if you want just to block adds get add block plus itll automaticly block all the ads and you can eaisly config it the way you like it

  • click the monkey in status bar you need smiley face

  • make sure grease monkey is actually installed and enabled both in tools ad on extention and status bar smiley monkey you need

  • monkey is in status bar on the bottom make statis bar appear with view

  • When ever I try to install a script an error message pops up, I have tried multiple scripts and have had the same result with each.
