Tina Davis is very attractive. She even tells us HOWEVER that the business can be evil. BUT it can be beautiful for ppl. You have a better chance as a music producer in this day and age rather than reviving hip hop. Lol I wouldnt mind dating her. I might have to settle for her relatives

You are getting academics mixed up with fine arts. They can't teach you to be creative, all of that comes naturally from within.

def jam is racially biased; I had an interview with Carl in the A&R dept. and was the only light skin person (even though I'm latino) among 4 other candidates. I had 3 other internships under my belt and 3.5 gpa at a respectable institution...the Def Jam interview and a subsequent interview at Capitol Records (where a radio promo guy told me "white people want to be like black people"), was the reason I changed career paths.

I regret the day I interviewed at Def Jam; I would work for an indie label any day, since there is respect for all lovers of hip-hop culture. I had a great experience at Studio Distribution, putting out Pete Rock, Little Brother records. Let's not forget that Rick Rubin is Jewish people...Def Jam has lost its way and its soul.

Hey I plan on getting an A&R internship with a label to learn the music business and hopefully one day have my own record label. Why is Indie better than Major?? If I start my own label I'm trying to make clive davis and p.diddy money not peanuts you feel me?

I was hoping you would just answer the question but I guess if you knew the answer then you would be sitting in an office like Tina is and not on youtube. Thanks for the waste of time!

obviously you can't decipher anything I've written; the point is people like you go into a studio to make hits and people like me go into a studio to make music...why don't you search for a steve stoute interview and hear what he has to say. good luck trying to be the next diddy or clive davis...you're going to find yourself quite disappointed. I won't respond back again and you've brought the music industry another level lower. later.
