The Odeon stands on one of the last old frontiers of St Albans. It is a welcoming legacy to all that has now sadly gone before,a last and hopefully lasting monument to the pride that was once realised in this ancient city
where the feet of ancient conquerers have trod more than once;
'Rage rage against the dying of the light'.
[Dylan Thomas]
Its not gonna be knocked down now :D

To schemadesighn It is clear from your wording that you are selfish and a bore.I am sure the resident friends you know would also like it demolished,that is because you are a special group of twits.You should hire some dvd special edition box sets for lubeless stuffing up your behind.A way of distracting yourself from these important issues,it will do you much good!Have fun!

How would having a cinema on your doorstep add value to your property, with noise (assuming last film ends at midnight), litter and no parking.

I've lived in the centre of St. Albans for 14 years and like most in this position accept that guaranteed parking is a compromise...
then why do i have to pay for the privelige of NOT being able to park my car in the evening? The cinema being restored will only mean less parking for local homeowners.

yes i am local and live 2 streets away, yes the area is expensive and the price of my house is not going up as the area IS A DUMP. Crumbling buildings, Tesco's fault. and the bloody Cinema. I am not a spokesperson but as i live in a small street and chat to all the nighbours and we want that eyesore knocked down.
