Why is everyone that covers this wearing a navy shirt?

@U2GuitarTutorials Would any American strat sound good for this song and other Strat based U2 songs? For example, a highway one strat?

Haha, I love how you say "There we go!" Exactly what I was thinking, haha.

mmmm i can't understand why the first string sounds like that. What kind of tuning did you use?

@CEIVE4EVER
Probably in Eb. U2 tunes down 1/2 step most live songs.

what kind of Strat is this? Is this the one Edge uses to play this song live? I've been strat hunting lately and I'm not quite sure which Strat Edge uses for Streets. Thanks

This is a 2003 Custom Shop Strat (1960s version). But I have since replaced the neck to a Custom Shop maple neck and Kinman pups. See Part A1 for my updated cover. Edge uses a late '70s strat.

Any Strat is generally ok. Pickups are important. Some are too "thin" or "bright." I recommend the Kinmans (although they are expensive). The Fender '69s are very good also I'm told. Join U2_Guitar_Tutorials group on Google groups and post what you have and ask for suggestions.

pls help me. I tried this with delay, but it does not sound that well. Can you tell me what the proper altitude is? My amplifier is not a really expensive one but maybe it will work. There are no numbers on it (milli sec and what more this guy told about). If someone can help me I would be very glad:)

@elisdewaard1:
Watch my three part delay tutorial. Watch all of the Streets tutorial, not just this one. First make sure you are playing at the right tempo. You are asking a very broad question that is not easy to answer here. Join our group on Google Groups: U2_Guitar_Tutorials
