  • great views, a nice change in perspective

  • Yep, the mount was a 'temp fix' with m3 screws, I will be shooting more like this once I get the TIG welding done. I've just finished making a new 'monitor' wrist mount to be able to check the framing of this sort of footage :-)

  • That looks great Murray, very nice angle. 5*

  • It will be better once the mount is fully finished. stll 'wobbles' too much..

Also I am thinking of getting a 0.45x 'lens' to fit on this camera.. which will give a better view.

  • That's really cool, Murray! 5* Nice to be able to see you flying, use of the controls, etc. Makes a nice change from the pilot POV shots. Please get a 'dead cat' for the mic, though!

  • I was thinking of a spring loaded 'bolt' to enable release of the pole in flight.

  • Nice. 'Butterfly' bolts may be handy...

  • About 1/2 way there.. still a lot more work to be down on the mount (base) part, I need to fabricate a custom aluminium base which will 'grip' the PG harness seat board to (in two planes) 'tighten' the fit in roll/yaw/pitch of the camera v seat base..

Also the second (look up or forward) camera mount (between pilots knees) needs to be fitted... and the LCD (main camera) monitor needs to be got & fitted with 12v/5v power supply.

Final aim is for 'picture in picture' time sync YouTube clips.

  • Excellent ! Is the pole finished now or do you have to tweek it a bit more ?
