Halo Visor Thermoforming

Two failures help greatly to produce my prototype for a thermoformed 1/8in thick plexiglass visor for the Mjolnir Helmet.

My God... was I drunk when I made this one? Yeah, I think so. Since Halo Reach came out and completely screwed up the storyline, I've moved past the Halo stuff. Actually I'm working on stuff that really matters. All I really wanted to do with this was get an idea/method started. Thanks for watching though.

Ok... I know the video kinda sucks... But the final product is very clear and can take a lot of punishment from paintballs without defect or failure. Do you want a better example of the process and end result?

Did you ever end up going paintballing with the final product (suit and all)? If so, how did it all hold up?

An easy way to get the visor, is to use clear fiberglass resin and form it to a mold, that way you get the don't have to worry about the bubbles... (The downside is that you can't get it tinted though, unless you melt a motorcycle visor...) It just depends on how anal you want to be, and if you don't plan on wearing it, you can spray paint it...
