If you happen to have your own 3d printer the files can be found at Thingiverse.com.

  • laces your life has become so lame that you care so much about harassing me that you created multiple accounts just to do so. You have me convinced! I'm going to trade in my commercial machines just so I can buy an army of several DOZEN Makerbots. I sure hope they are as good as you say they are! Maybe you can send me a sample of a Makerbotted Geneva Wheel before I make a purchase decision? Better yet I'll trade you my Dimension es for your Makerbot. Deal?

BTW I just ate a cupcake.

  • @laces365

yeah you did kinda attack this guy, I was re-trolling the posts. All in all you do get what you pay for and this machine is pretty nice. Its not quite in reach of the hobbyist. I think that's what you're mad about.

  • @TheNanjin What posts of his that are left! He's so jealous he even spent the time after I shamelessly re-posted/quoted the original comment he posted and then deleted to create five new YT accounts just to re-post the same original comment after banning his original account.

I have nothing against the Makerbot/RepRap, just people that hide behind their keyboard and act four years old.

This fool probably doesn't even know that this open source stuff became available thanks to Scott Crump.

  • @team222badbrad yeah because Scott Crump wrote the GPL.

  • @laces365 @laces365 If you know anything he invented FDM which if I recall is the printing technology the Makerbot uses.

  • @team222badbrad

"nor was 3d printing ever intended to self replicate."

sounds like you have absolutely NO foresight whatsoever about the potential of 3d printers. look I got it, you're pissed, reprap can self replicate and you payed out the ass for your machine that is going to be out dated in 5 years max.

"Reprap is a million years away from 'self replicating'."

Uhh sure, if you call 50% self replicating FAR OFF?

  • @TheNanjin You need to look at the whole picture not half of it. The first 50% are the bits that hold it together and not the ones that make it work. When I can design an electric motor and then print it only then I will I have some hope.

  • I don't know what laces was saying, and I don't care. I love my Cupcake, but there is just no comparison, I would trade in my Cupcake for a Dimension in a heartbeat! (that or nophead's HydraRaptor! Even then I see the commercial machines being better, though it's not as big a gap.)

  • Good work, man!

  • @laces360 Does it bake them too?

  • @laces360 Your the one that attacked me and then removed your comment. "man eff this guy. Makerbot FTW!".

My point was you get what you pay for. If you want cheap you get cheap. If you actually want something that will make parts companies would buy then you get the real deal.
