@MWMaddJazz I know of some high school choirs who are better then this is. It doesn't take a "professional" to be excellent. I'm not saying it was bad, but they could have done a whole lot better.

I can be excited about schools encouraging music, yes, but, when the director butchers an interpretation as such video shows me, then it does the students no good to sing something and not know what they are singing about.

@ChoirVirtuoso Your username points out you enjoy choral music. Perhaps then you should be more interested in encouraging those who share your passion, rather than writing unhelpful and strictly negative comments on the videos of high school groups. This video doesn't claim to be a professional choir or recording. Yes, problems exist. The tone should've been better, there were scooping and pitch issues etc, but you should be happy some of America's high schools still encourage choral singing.
