At CES 2010, LG unveiled the LG GT540, a specialized social networking smartphone running Google's popular Android platform.

The LG GT540 creates a fun and familiar social networking environment with LG's new social networking tool. Through the integrated SNS Manager, the LG GT540 provides quick and easy access to today's most popular social networking sites such as Facebook & Twitter.

With characteristic innovation, the LG GT540 is the ideal smartphone for first-time smartphone users. LG has designed the GT540 with a splash of style that challenges the traditionally tech-heavy look of smartphones while enhanced customization that includes four colour variations and personalized themes and widgets ensures users they won't have to sacrifice their individuality.

The LG GT540 also aims to entertain with must-have multimedia features such as DivX and WMV playback, a motion UI player and a broad variety of hardware features including a 3 MP AF camera and up to 32 GB of expandable microSD memory.

Supporting the full suite of Google mobile services, the LG GT540 provides access to Google Maps, Google Search, Gmail, YouTube and Android Market where users can download from thousands of popular applications and games.
