Iphone 3G 3.0 internet tethering & mms

Today i will be showing you how to get internet tethering working on your iphone 3g 3.0 or 3.0.1. Jailbreak is optional for this. I jailbroke my iphone to get more features such as the status bar indicator for the battery and the icons for then top nav. And much more.

Once i receive the money i will send the files to your email address with the instructions. This should take no longer then 10 minuets to do.

To get internet tethering to work on your iphone follow these instructions:

1. Download itunes 8.2 to the computer you want to tether your iphone to
2. Downgrade or upgrade your iphone to 3.0 or 3.0.1 your choice of preference.
3. Open safari on your iphone and go to help.benm.at/help.php
4. Go to Mobile Config Downloads and select where you live
5. Download the Carrier profile for Either AT&T or T-Mobile if you live in the usa. This part is USA. This applys the same for any country.
6. After installing restart your iphone
7. Once your iphone turns on go to settings-general-network-internet tethering and set it to on.
8. Hook the phone up to your pc via data cable
9. Wait for the iphone to install the software and drivers needed on your pc. This takes anywhere from 5-10 minuets
10. Once done your iphone will glow blue and say Internet Tethering.
11. Enjoy the freedom of tethering your iphones 3G internet to your laptop for free :)

@stevegrca this is from a year ago man. upgrade to 4.0 they support tethering now but it cost a fee

Should this work on 3GS 3.1.2 I tried and it didn't, I'm with AT&T.

Shouldnt bro because there is no deffinate solution to 3GS unlock and the ATT carrier file is old now. Everything here has already been released in 3.0.2 and 3.1 +

Yes and this works to also with 3.0.1 and should work on 3.1.2. I am still on 3.0 due to the non release of the 3.1.2 unlock for the 3GS

Hey Brett. I tried it and didn't work. I got as far as to download and gave me a error: profile format not recognized. I have a 3G and 3.1.3.with ATT carrier 5.6.
