Z33 got waxed by the LFA. and Yes if Toyota wanted to build a AWD GTR killer they would. But why? GTR has a hard time with a LFA around the track. LFA isn't even aiming for the GTR. It's going for the big boys from Europe. And so far the regular LFA is spanking Ferrari's and Lambo's on every test that has been done. Youtube it up if you don't believe me.
Don't get me wrong because I love the GTR as well but the truth is Toyota can produce a GTR like car (They've made great turbo engines and supercharger kits, they have WRC titles and great off-road vehicles so they can use 4WD too and their top end models have lots of tech as well) but Nissan currently don't have what it takes to make the LFA. I mean the LFA engine alone is amazing: power of V10, size of V8 and weight of V6. No turbo of supercharger. Revs so fast and analogue can't keep up..
In terms of $, ppl have to take into account the engineering that goes into it as well as the feel. GTR is cheaper but 4WD, turbo, computer assistance is pretty cliche and just an upgrade from previous GTR. Performance-wise, it's awesome but it's less driver oriented. LFA is from scratch and the engineering is pretty unique among Japanese sports cars and other supercars (from the 552hp 4.8L N/A to the carbon/alu blend body). Being RWD and N/A it's more driver oriented as well.
that driver made the LFA look so googoing in and out of corners that is just smooth i love them both but i think i would prefer the LFA its much more rare than the GTR not by much but i think the LFA is just an amazing car
@illSlapYoMommaSilly Good for you did you graduate school and decide to talk like an idiot or are you still a little kid. You can't compare a forced induction 6 cylinder and say its better because it makes the same power using TURBOS as a motor with more cylinders that is naturally asparated. 14 idiots gave you a thumbs up.
1st. stock vs stock, 350 will lose and LFA will win - (350 not stock but still lose)
2nd. it depends on the drive, some may drive that LFA faster and some may not, obviously from the vid, that driver who drive LFA may not be good in-out cornering, but i never see 350 pass through that LFA, not even close to overtaking it, the distance just increases overtime.
I stand on my point based on the vid. you have another vid of 350z stock vs LFA?
I'm going to go ahead and say the LF-A is a straight up failure. The GTR is much faster around the ring and doesn't cost 400,000 dollars. Oh I hear you hater, it's NA it doesn't have turbos to help it, really? Well lets do some math, the LFA makes 115 hp/liter, the Porsche GT3 makes 109hp/liter, but I still have some 260,000 dollars in my pocket to play with. Toyota should stick to making my mom's car while the big boys play around the ring.
@tinhinnh THATS WORNG ... VLN race the V-class = close to production SP = VLN special all fully build race cars XP = experimental class VD = diesel fully build race cars Cup1= Seat Leon Challenge Cup2= Carrera Cup GT3 can race the SP7 or SP9 the R8 race the SP9 LFA the SP8 LFA no top10 finish 2009 and 2010 in VLN, 87. and 18. place 24h, 2011 one 9th place only because the first 10 cars were disquali after the race because the marshals feeled they were to fast under yello flag
You're simply an uneducated idiot. Does it ever occur to you that the LFA is "naturally aspirated" ? I'm guessing you are as blind as every other Nissan rice fan-boy out there. The LFA is an engineering masterpiece, now image that with a pair of turbos ;)
