  • Another interesting fact: Hans Christian Andersen was born in the same year as Bournonville. He wanted to be a ballet dancer too. He went to the Royal Ballet school when he was 14. (bet he saw the handsome and already brilliant dancer Auguste there.) But he was hopeless as a dancer! (an ugly duckling. But a beautiful swan as a storyteller.)

  • Bournonville died in 1879. When Beck was 18 and Borchsenius 7! (both of them already dancing.)

  • my butt itches. I am stoned and drunk. cheers mate!

  • Brilliant. Mr.B borrowed a lot from this!!!

  • It is fantastic to se this old piece of film. Thank you.

  • Amazing dance history!

    Thank you!

  • i absolutely love this scene from napoli. its amazing that the choreography has been preserved for so long and is still basically the same now as it was over 100 years ago when this was filmed!!!
