ummm ok I have a question. I don't mean to seem at all rasist or rude, at all, but the guy who plays laurent is black. and aren't all vampires supposed to have almost clear, white skin. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I swear, just simply wondering. I've seen him in scenes before, and hes doing a great job.

its okay! i know what you mean, and I also know the reason for why they chose an African American actor: they wanted to add "different races" into the film. at least thats what they said when they hired him. if you've noticed, in the film Eric is Asian and Tyler is African American, unlike the books. they really didn't have to do that, tho, if you think about it: Aro, Marcus, and Caius are Italian in NM, and Ben is actually Asian. I guess Laurent will be a different vamp...=O weird...
