Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman to run on a major party's Presidential ticket — died Saturday morning at the age of 75. The cause of death was complications from multiple myeloma, a blood cancer she had battled for 12 years.
Ferraro was a Congresswoman from New York City when she shot to fame as Walter Mondale's running mate in 1984.
