In June, 2007 my hometown of Newcastle, Australia made headlines around the world when a bulk carrier, the Pasha Bulker went aground on a beach near the city during a fierce storm, not uncommon in this region. In my role as a volunteer for the Newcastle Maritime Centre I have been given several documentaries of this event to show our visitors, but this one, made by a local radio station has proven most popular. Taken from "A June To Remember" produced by ABC radio 1233.
