i know a local guy that can cut ss plates anyway you like them to be and inexpensive(he's working with ss sheets and sells me the scrap pieces)

do you find that temperature would effect the production rate? your system might allow a more stable temp because you are using a larger volume of water. electricity and plates creates heat i guess. i would imagine various heat readings would effect production. i think that is why pulsing might allow the bubbles to be released off the plate faster as it stops the negative current for a short period.

@ranskye1 - what causes heat is resistance - has more to do with surface area exposed to the reaction - with stainless steel, I use at least 4 sq in of surface area per watt of input power - and never exceed 2v per gap - stick to that and it will not over heat ...

@SmartScarecrow can you do an experiment with hot water and see if you get higher output or less? there might be an optimum temperature of the water. i also wonder if new water moving over the cathode and anode at a fast speed might increase output. there must be some property of water that can be used to increase productivity. only to find if its cost efficient..also i wonder if algae water and its h plus ions production/exchange makes a difference.

@ranskye1 - sorry, but I am experimenting in other areas at this point. YouTube user HHOPWR has recently done some experiments using higher than normal temperatures but the results are still inconclusive.

where do you get your stainless steel plates at?

the ones I used in this device were purchased as scrap from a local metal fabrication shop ... I cut them to size by hand using a circular saw with a metal cutting blade ... was not an easy task but it worked ... this device performed quite well until I retired it in favor my current one ...
