Dragon Warrior III - Kandar, second battle

After going through the cave near Baharata, you'll find that Kandar is up to his old tricks yet again.

His Goons have gotten an upgrade in their stats, and are now more dangerous with their new spell, Defense, which reduces your entire team's defense on the spot, making you very vulnerable.

Kandar himself isn't any more significant, despite his new look and upgraded stats, he's actually much easier than the Goons!

The best strategy is to eliminate his little friends immediately so you don't have to worry about their Defense spell. Once they're out of the way, you should start raising your stats wth SpeedUp or Increase, or any other spells that serve the same purpose. Make use of Bang and any other powerful spells. Bang is very useful because it hits every enemy on the screen.

After the battle, you have no choice but to let Kandar go (all because of the game's plot, it seems) so we know we'll probably see him again in the near future.

omg i love this game i am uploadin some vids of it too it took me so long to beat him but i came back at the literally end of the game w/ all super high lvl sages and he was dead in like 2 secs

i agree when i played this game and got to this point Kandar was easier than his Goons
