Bush/Cheney's words about America not occupying a country and imposing our politics is quite hilarious since they just said those things to get elected. Once in power, Bush/Cheney became the biggest occupation racketeers $$$ of all time, ever.

What America needs is a specialized CORPS---not the entire force---optimized to handle sub-national conflicts (SNCs) while the main body stays focused on nation-state wars (NSWs). Its ironic that they cite Gettysburg—when this was a battle that should have been AVOIDED; Confederate General Robert E. Lee should have not attacked the Union Forces already there holding the high ground with Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlains 20th Maine holding the critical right flank---thanks to Bufords CAVALRY. Lee attacked because his force was composed of weak ego southern rednecks who saw war as a form of manhood proving-exercise and couldnt resist the temptation to showboat with their lives in vain glory. Like todays malignant, light infantry narcissists who cannot say no! to riding around in wheeled trucks!
