  • when you initialily start to put the mag in the mag well do you index on the front or the back of the inside of the mag well? I have a factory magwell so im looking for any advice on speed loading from someone who has done it, and you are pretty quick. I can do it that fast , i just fumble the initial insertion about 1 out of 10 times when i practice. Much Respect

  • @glock19carrier I index at the back of the magazine well.

The actual key is to drive the magazine up to the pistol from your hip as rapidly as possible, pause and SLOWLY index the magazine into the gun, then rapidly seat it and drop the slide once it enters the mouth of the magwell. It's a fast-slow-fast movement. As you practice, you'll need to slow down less, but that's how you eliminate the "crash and burn" reloads.

  • Smooth the back of the slide release lever and it's matching cutout in the slide with a hone. Drops nice and smoothly.

  • are you using the slide lock or the "slam the mag hard drops the slide" method? I've heard some M&P 9's can do the slam mag drops slide.

  • @edmustafa The lever. My gun requires you to HAMMER them in to drop the slide. I set it up that way.

  • Evan, is that extended magwell legal for IDPA?? Great video. Keep up the good work...

  • Yes, it's an ESP-Legal magwell made by Speed Shooter Specialties. Had to custon fab my own basepads that fit the box, but he's working on those too.

  • oh lawd! please dont kill me mr white man

  • Good grip, good pistol presentation, good reloading technique....very good advice without words, thanks!

  • @MemphisMechanic How do you adjust the auto-forward feature? I do not like my M&P 45 auto-forward feature, I don't think a handgun should automatically drop the slide every time I put in a fresh magazine. Any way I can adjust it to make it not do that?

  • Nice. Very smooth. My style a little different. Very cool though man. Keep it up

  • If he is that fast with his left hand just imagine how quick he must be with his right! WOW!

  • @daceuro The right side slide lock lever sits about 1/4 in further forward than on the left side. It makes the leverage needed a bit more than for a righty. Even though this gun is somewhat lefty frendly it is again a failure to make the field level for us. Also it flexes a bit as its a offset fork design with no direct rearward linkage to the actual slide catch.

  • Hey, also a left-handed shooter. I've been looking for a new pistol and noticed the M&P was fully ambidextrous. However, when visiting the local gun shop, I found that the M&P slide lock was nearly impossible to release (especially compared to another ambi pistol, the Sig P 250). Have you had this problem?
