Su-30 was used(export version) by India Su-30MKI in war games (Red Flag) in US and plane defeated all US planes it encountered but only lost to F-22.But that's according to their data since Usaf AWACS picked up the results. It is true that not even one Su-27 has never encountered US plane and US plane never encountered decent airforce also so it goes both ways.Only in W.War you might get your wish but do you really want that? You underestimate Russian potential.
@BoxyTheSpaceDog No offense but the Su-30MK sucks, I mean maybe it does have thrust vectoring but how many do you know were used in action against ANYONE, like I said unproven. I have no idea how any of these aircraft fair with the real world, but I'll go with the pros and agree that USAF is and will always be the number one air force in the world! Russian stuff might be cool and all, but America is where it's at.
Your every comment revels how little of RuAf you know.Maneuvers are practiced because they are used in combat.Where has Usaf encountered Russian planes flown by Russian pilots, where maneuvers have been disapproved?Where has Stealth or rather against whom has it been proven? In Iraq when all AA positions and radar stations were already taken out and over Serbia-resulted in 3 F-117 damaged.Su-37 is now Su-30MK(with 3D vectoring)and Russia has enough of those.
@BoxyTheSpaceDog Anybody can say anything, but that doesn't prove what will actually happen on the real battlefield. It's my opinion that the Flankers might be useless with their maneuvers. For one it's never been proven in combat, at least I don't think and not only that, but the Russian Federation only has two Su-35/37's made! Not even an air squadron yet :P
Cobra maneuver isn't for avoiding missiles but to be used in dog fighting(to suddenly get behind the enemy) or to have sudden turn capability."the plane can only go less than 40 mph once it recovers" it's utter nonsense to me if we already established the first. While mentioning first strike capability compare RuAf missiles and radars to ones used in USAF.If radar can see target 300km away and has missile to strike it-like Russian R-37M,who has first strike?
The only flaw I see with the Cobra maneuver is that it can avoid the first missile attack, but what about a second? During the Cobra maneuver, the plane can only go less than 40 mph once it recovers. Easy prey for another missile! :O
@BoxyTheSpaceDog Ehhh...We all know both would destroy each other no matter what. It's been shown throughout all wars.

@pacus123 You can watch the red flag lecture, the pilot who flew there with name and all can tell you.

@pacus123 It is embarrasing that you would compare two aircraft with almost two decades of age diffrence...
The F-22's are in service.
