WebSharing File/Media Sync is an Android Market application which allows you to share content between your android device and your computer without the need of any wires. All you simply need to do is purchase the application for $2.99 and you will be able to transfer movies, pictures, any type of content wirelessly across your home network.

Leave a comment or send me a message if you need help with setting this up on your own network.

  • Hi, very helpful but can you tell me what isi the difference between this app and dropbox?

  • @axela2345 Dropbox is using the cloud as a means on transferring content. With this app, you are not uploading any of your files to a server farm somewhere. Nothing leaves your home network through this method. I for one do not what all of my information or files that I share on the cloud. Some things you want to keep locally. You also have a limited amount of storage available with placing your files on dropbox. This method is simply just a copy/paste way to transfer files

  • @zoogala Happy that you found it helpful. For regular pictures place them in the HOME --> DCIM --> Camera directory. You can then find these pictures on your Xoom by opening up the Gallery and selection 'Camera'. You could also place videos and movies in this same directory...it is up to you. For me, I place Movies in the HOME --> Movies directory. On the Xoom, you also open up the Gallery and then select 'Movies'.

  • Thanks for that man.
