This track was taken from an audience recording taped by Dan Lampinski, a gentleman who taped many shows in New England in the mid 1970s. Until a couple of weeks ago, this show was uncirculated. With it's "release", it's easily one of the top 5 shows (if not the best), in terms of quality, to surface from Sabbath's run of shows during the 1970s.

In terms of quality, this show is probably the best AUD recording I've heard from the 70s, even better than Fresno 78, Lund 77, and better than even Cali Jam 74 (which was a SBD). It's a nice compliment to the Asbury Park show, which had been professionally remastered (and might still be a mixture of 2-3 different shows). This is just further proof that Sabbath was at the height of their powers during this tour.

Anyway I hope you enjoy this, and if you're interested in acquring the full show, run a google search for it. I bet it's made it's way to a few blogs by now that specialize in this stuff. Enjoy!

  • @blacksabfan is there any live version of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath in which Ozzy sings the entire song (and by that i mean that mid section of "doom metal")?

  • @PanosOsbourne

Not to my knowledge. Supposedly back in late '73, Sabbath performed the song in concert, but no recordings exist of it from that time period. Even then, I can't tell you if he even sang the whole song.

  • @blacksabfan thanks for the information

  • Holy crap. I think it's really cool that people can actually discern between a studio recording and a live recording with whatever technology was available that you could smuggle in. One of my favorite Sabbath tunes. And rendered here.....fucking mind blowing. It sends chills..............

  • Amazing- Toni is a god
