They have all been saying that they have been angry at US support of Israel's crimes. KSM was tortured as they tried to get him to link Iraq and al-qaeda, KSM was already against US support of Israel before he was captured and it makes no freakin' sense that the powers that be who work so hard to suppress the fact that supporting Israel generates terrorism, would make KSM say something that they don't want him to be talking about! Many Americans put Israel's interests above our own. This isn't just the elite, Israel has strong support at the grassroots level, especially among fundamentalist Christians. It is dangerous to be so loyal to another country, because we then let that country dictate our foreign policy. Israel would love to have the US military attack Iran, which would be a huge mistake. We need to put some distance between ourselves in Israel.

Until 1967, the US was not very friendly to Israel: for example, in 1956 (after Israel conquered the Sinai Peninsula, in a defensive war - as always) the US gave an ultimatum to Israel to withdraw. In June 1967 Israel was again involved in a survival war against 5 Arab armies; this time the USS Liberty was spying on Israel, and was hearing every Israeli army communication. Probably that's why Israel bombed it. Immediately after, the US instead of bitching, has decided to become Israel's ally.
