Chris Stuckmann examines Prometheus from beginning to end, offering his thoughts on what the film means and the many questions it asks.

This is a great article that delves into the religious themes of the movie, a really fascinating read: http://cavalorn.livejournal.com/58413...

in my opinion, any movie that needs a 20min explanation video hasn't been made well. it's a good concept and it was visually stunning but it's like they had too many ideas and tried to cram them in at the same time.

great video review. the cinema version lost a lot of little scenes in the editing room. if possible, try to check out the the director's cut as it answers many of the questions discussed in this video

At 15:21, ChrisStuckmann starts to explain how we are meeting the first xenomorph for the very first time. This has to be untrue. In one of the scenes in Prometheus in the "big head room," we see a relief sculpture of a xenomporph on the wall. How can the xenomorph at 15:23 be the first one ever if there were already sculptures of them back before the movie began?

As far as the engineers go, it must of been important to them to create life, because in the deleted scenes, that "lone" engineer in the beginning wasn't actually alone, he was there with elders and robed engineers... he was DEF committing a religious ritual suicide in an effort to create life on that planet (Earth).. which is better than my ORIGINAL thought, that he was poisoned while the other left. Those blu-ray extras explain a LOT

cont... So Vickers could be a CLONE. Either way it's most likely that David AND Vickers were prototypes. David was DEF an android, but Vickers could be an android or a clone. That's the REALLY confusing part. She could be a clone of Weyland's dead wife or daughter... because in the beginning Weyland's projection makes a point out of the fact that David is a SON. In reference to Vickers showing emotions, even if she DID she could have been programmed to (just like David, who can cry)

Vicker was DEFINITELY an android (or a clone). In the "archives" of Weyland himself (in the Blu-ray menus) Weyland says that ALL of the people on the ship were asleep except for David and Vickers... HOWEVER, in a DELETED scene, Idris Elba's character (The Pilot) talks about how he worked for govt outfits "off-planet" where they were making clones. Weylands' corporation became super rich by colonizing mars (among other things)... CLONING was illegal on EARTH so they were doing it off of Earth.
