@Kellyo90 That's not how we do it.

Oh no, a youtube video that depicts christians positively! Quick, atheists, downvote the video to prove you're right!

A challenge to all Christians: Have you proven all the other gods (of all the other religions) wrong?

@steveoho I think its Lennox pointing that Anti-Theist are not angles like they think they are. And they do have a pretty bad history are of there own. But at this point some Anti-Theist will bring up the B.s. "In the name of" argument. Imagine if i shot somebody & then said "Im innocent because i did do it in the name of this" p.s. Im Agnostic.

@MrDrakkus Anti-theists oppose Religion, they're antagonist towards it.
You're referring to the empirical method. Atheists aren't necessarily scientists, they can be nihilists, hedonists. It's easy to take disbelief position when evidence is not conclusive and to take such a position would justify a selfish life. The reasoning for their atheism is not necessarily academic. There are just as many sheep among atheists as there are among theists and deists.

Then you're no longer talking about atheism you're talking about anti-theism. This is something added to atheism, a positive belief that the world would be better off without any form of theology. It's going beyond the simple rejection of theistic claims and adding a real claim into it. Thank you for proving my point.
I agree all humans are susceptible to group-think. This includes atheists, but to a lesser degree since baseless belief isn't looked upon as a virtue.

@MrDrakkus Most atheists are not just atheists, they are anti-atheists, vehemently opposed to Religion. Any time you have dissenting fundamental beliefs, it doesn't matter what those beliefs are, prejudice and discrimination will ensue. You only need to read some of the comments of atheists on You Tube to see they are very much susceptible to group-think, no different than any other group, which is a human flaw not an exclusively Religious one.

Atheism as a cause just doesn't make any sense. How could lack of belief in something lead to anything? If one doesn't believe in Bigfoot, is that why they're a rapist? What about Leprechauns, does their non-belief make one a murderer? My point is this, atheism CAN NOT be a cause. If you look deeper it's always something else, be it greed, envy, lust, insanity, etc. Religion however CAN be a cause, since scripture can easily be interpreted to encourage criminal behavior.
-
@MrDrakkus If you sincerely believe atheism is a harmless, innocuous ir-religion, immune to hatred, immune to bigotry, immune to violence, it is only because atheism has only recently begun to organize itself as a distinguished group. When it becomes a group, under a flag, it will function no differently than any other Religion or group, and that is when you will see you are not different.

Why so many dislikes? Lennox plugged Hitchens' latest book, and he even said he agreed with a lot of it. Is that not respectable enough?
I'm not sure why so many disliked this video. Lennox seems like a nice and genuine man who is interested in truth.

@Crobat87 I would genuinely like to know when this happened. I've not heard of any church-burnings or lynchings done by anyone that is directly attributable to their atheism. Especially considering I'm an atheist myself, I really do want to know of these instances.
