  • im sorry but not just the chickens... did you hear what jamie said?? its the pressure from "us" the consumers that has made farming this way, to keep up with supply and demand as cheaply as possible, i am in no way condoning battery farming but please realise there is other factors at play

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I hope people watch this and realize the price chickens have to pay for cheap eggs and meat.

  • too bad the chickens have to end up in my stomach

  • The down side of an economic system. Like what Dicken's tells us in his novel Hard Times - a society flooded with industrialism and economic focus, we drown out the human heart. And this is what exactly has happened. Now the industry is reduced to destroying the dignity of these chickens. All for a practical purpose for power, wealth, status, etc. and nothing left for compassion, care, affection. Immorality at its best.

  • This is why I have my own hens in my yard.... I don't want to pay for farmers to do this.

  • @LeonSKennedy828 95% in north america closer to 65% in britain

  • Woman: Are these chickens never let out?

Jamie: Never, until they are killed.

    Woman: "Lovely".

  • Our chickens are fed fresh food every day and they lay about every other day, such a difference in texture and flavor.

    I love our chickens.

I recommend to anyone who can physically possibly have their own, to do so.

  • for gods sake if we are going to kill the poor animal at least give it a descent place to live! this is so meann

  • Bill oddie you nutter lol

  • I've seen a nicer battery farm than this.

  • @LeonSKennedy828: The overwhelming majority of farms do this. The huge walls of cheap eggs at the supermarket all come from these types of farm.
