I think Kicker gets hated on because they went mainstream for sales. Because you can walk into Best Buy and buy or order kicker that somehow makes them less competitive. But I remember in the early 90's when Kicker was like some other companies now, DD, Fi, and others they were considered face smashers. This reminds me of music, especially underground metal, as long as it's underground it's bad ass but the minute it goes main stream they suck even though they sound the same as before.
@MrBTL15 it doesn't really matter, if you want the sub to kick hard, get a good amp, if your on a budget get a shitty one. amps don't matter as much as subs since unless their absolute crap, they'll do just fine. the sub is the one reproducing the sounds, the amp does play a part, but the sub is more important in my opinion. i'd go with kicker, orion, precision power, jl for amps
@3000gtvr45Lebtt so if that sub says max at 1600 rms and ur talking about more pure watts does that mean its powerfull at 1600 rms and what kind of amp would go to it? cause since you said that about pure watts im curious cause i really liked that sub
@MrBTL15 sure, but it all depends on how efficient the sub reproduces the sound. 100 pure watts of sound is enough to kill you, im sure you'd be satisfied with the 18's if not the 15's in the DS series, but its your choice man.
this sub is screaming more power!!!!!
