It's interesting though, how it ended up being Sam who couldn't live without Dean and would stop at nothing to save him, or earn his forgiveness..losing so much of himself in the process.

Dean was the one who proved able to make a new, happy life for himself if Sam was gone.

I'd love to see them reach a proper understanding of each other - also for Sam to get back to being the sharp thinker he was back then - I hate that they made him become so weak:-(
