  • Horray - 300,000,0000,000 views or something like that. Thanks to all of you for viewing this video. Thank you to all those fans of other groups that felt the need to post how much more they enjoyed other versions of this song to this one. Thank you to my manager and my dog walker, and my agent. Thank you above all to you. You, you who have supported this video, THANK YOU. [I have 114 characters left]... Did you know that Pluto is now considered to be a minor planet? 14 left now...

  • I prefer Altan's version

  • @MrRevlast Ahem - then please bog off and tell them that. I am sure they would like to know this, so why are you wasting your time posting here? This is a real YouTube infection. if you have nothing to say but that, then your comment is just wind. Comparing this to Altan, or Celtic Meringues or Celtic Yawn, or Clannad is not what this page is about. Hate it and say why, or love it and bask in the brilliance of Anuna. I am losing interest as I type. Less interest now, less...none.

  • @brezairola

No harm sayig he prefers Altans version.. but a bit of reason would be nice.. always good to get other takes/opinions (as long as they are delivered in a decent way, not "this shit is so shit, blah blah blah"

but anyways, never heard this one before, but I'm glad I'm hearing it now, very cool indeed.. Omnia do a great version of it aswell, again, completely different to all the others I've heard over the years.

  • @PajoLee No harm? I am watching a video of Anuna and the only comment I can leave is what he/she did. "My opinion is of value". Is it? this is the culture of YouTube. Vacuous remarks aplenty. If you read my first comment you will see that I said "if you have nothing to say but that, then your comment is just wind". "I prefer Altan's version because...". then we can have a dialogue. Yes - I love the Omnia version too, and we only met them in Holland the week before last.

  • @brezairola

I think you misread me I was only saying that yes, give an opinion, but back it up with a reason.. and preferably not a derogatory one just for the sake of arguing. i.e, if he doesnt like the arrangement, and prefers a more "traditional", then at least it's a conversation of sorts, I agree completely that "I prefer Altans version" is a waste of energy and time..

hense my own longer comment of saying that I enjoyed it, and referencing my other favourite version..

  • @PajoLee No - I didn't misread you - I was ranting, as I enjoy doing, and used your very reasonable point as a stepping stone. I love Altan's version, and Clannad's too by the way, and we sang it with Clannad last year in Christ Church - very cool indeed, and a DVD is forthcoming I believe. I like Omnia's version too as I have said, and hope to do some work with Jenny next Christmas. The world is small...

  • @brezairola ah yer cool, we all need a rant! I shall have to keep an eye out for the DVD.. oh man, would LOVE to see ye do something with Jenny, especially if shes playing harp!!!

  • @MrRevlast well don't watch this one, go do the dishes.

  • I wonder if I can get my choir to undertake this... So far, we've sung songs in Latin, Dutch, Bulgarian, Italian, Nahuatl, Quechua, English, Spanish, Catalan, French and German, but I'm afraid they might balk at Irish, the cowards. Anywho, it's a great piece! Thanks for putting it up, Brezairola! (And thanks, Michael McGlynn for writing and arranging it!)
