Yep, the PS1 version was released in 1995, whereas the N64 console wasn't even released until 1996 in Japan!

@IshidaTheQuincy No Doom 64 uses the sounds from the PS1 version
-
I enjoy the music in this version
-
I just noticed it uses the same music and sound effects from Doom 64.
-
Cool! What's your E-mail address? I'll send it to that.
-
It does.
If you could send me the WAD file and the music you want. I could see what I can do.
-
Mate, I wish I could, as well! Which reminds me, does XWE still work on your computer? Since mine's Vista, it won't work! So, can you please add music to my WAD again?

You aren't kidding at all. It sucks not to hear the original Doom music.
Sometimes I wish someone were to hack the CD and replace the song files with the original ones. (Preferably the MP2 renditions made on a Roland Sound Canvas sound card which Suiton1 uploaded.)

That's true. My only complaint about the music is that the game is intended to be fast and frantic. The slow music with a "lightning-fast slaughterthon" aren't a good combination IMO.
lmfao at about 9:40 when you stood up and done that thing the enemies do in the snes version haha.
anyways, good review man, love psx doom, my fav game, have to say i luv the music in it though, it does add to the atmosphere you just need to play it with headphones onin the dark ;)

they didn't lose it, they wanted to make new tracks for the darker atmosphere. the music combined with the new lighting effects was supposed to creep you out.
